All children in Key Stage 2 (Years 3 - 6) have a weekly Spanish lesson that lasts for 30 - 40 minutes. These lesson are taught by Mrs Sanders, a specialist language teacher from Melbourn Village college, usually on a Tuesday afternoon. The aim is to develop a love of languages and promote skills that will support the learning of any language in the future. We have chosen to teach Spanish because it is the main language taught in Key Stage 3 at two of our local secondary schools.
