Harston and Newton Primary school has a uniform, and we expect all children to wear it.
School uniform is smart, practical and helps to build a sense of community. Most items of uniform can be purchased from any supplier, and we have good-quality second hand uniform available for purchase in school. White or red polo shirts or white shirts
Grey or black trousers or shorts
Grey or black pinafores, skirts, shorts and trousers
Red gingham dresses
Shoes rather than trainers
No jewellery - apart from ear-studs and watches
Year Six colour - Royal Blue sweatshirt
PE kit
Coloured House T-shirt (school one or own plain one) or plain white T-shirt
Black or navy shorts or "skort"
Tracksuit or jogging bottoms and long sleeved PE top for outdoor lessons in colder weather

The PE kit should be in a named drawstring bag. PE kit should be brought to school on Monday and taken home on Friday*.
* Due to current Covid guidelines around reducing changing we are asking children to come into school wearing PE kit if they have PE in the morning and then change into uniform after their lesson. While if they have PE in the afternoon they come to school in uniform and we are letting them go home in PE kit instead.
Please ensure that all items of school uniform are clearly named so that any items of lost property can be returned.
