PTFA

Raising funds for the school and creating lasting memories for our children

A warm welcome from the PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association), of Harston and Newton Community Primary School

The PTFA Committee must consist of a Chair, Treasurer

and Secretary to enable us to continue as a charity.

Due to Covid restrictions, we have had very limited fund-raising events for the 20/21 academic year, but are happy to report a good response to those that we have had.

The committee meets on a regular basis either in person, or more recently via Zoom, with smaller working groups meeting as necessary to organize bigger events. The committee send out regular communications with updates via WhatsApp, and requests for additional support when planning larger events eg Summer Fayre.

The aim of the PTFA is to raise money in a fun and sociable way, help create an opportunity for community spirit within the school family, to provide the school with extra funding to spend on equipment and resources as well as the school's facilities to enhance your child's educational experience while at H&N.

There are many ways you can support your child’s education through the PTFA. If you are interested in any of the below, drop us an email via school office or stop one of us at at drop-off/pick-up and share your ideas.

A massive thank you to everyone who supported the Summer Festival.
To everyone who came, who helped, who baked, who donated, who performed - thank you. You all helped to make it a fantastic afternoon. The sun shone and the school field was packed with families having fun. We had a  great turnout and the Summer Festival raised an incredible £2261.00,
A fantastic achievement by all involved.
THANK YOU!

Band Night 2017

The PTFA Band Night was a fun and successful event, including the amazing Toy Machine, Jamie Segrave and Provenance Kitchen. Big thanks to Bury Lane Farm Shop, Pinksters and Briggs & Mortimer too – without their generous sponsorship we would not have been able to run the Gin Bar, which proved to be a very popular addition to the night! It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the music, food and atmosphere.
