Raising funds for the school and creating lasting memories for our children
The PTFA Committee currently consists of a Chair, Treasurer and Secretary, as well as several other members which make up the full Committee.
|Treasurer||Lotte Qvist Larkins|
|Committee Members||Louise Arnold|
The Committee meet on a regular basis, with smaller working groups meeting as necessary to organise bigger events. The Committee send out regular emails and messages with updates, and requests for help when planning large events.
The aim of the PTFA is to raise money in a fun and sociable way, to provide the school with extra funding to spend on equipment and resources to enhance your child’s educational experience and the school's facilities.
There are many ways you can support your child’s education through the PTFA. If you are interested in any of the below, drop us an email or stop one of us at school and share your thoughts.

With Spring just around the corner and hopefully warmer weather on its way join us in supporting these events that showcase what Harston & Newton have to offer while raising funds to support the school.
Do you shop online? Do it through easyfundraising.org.uk and raise a free donation for Harston and Newton Community Primary PTFA every time you shop! It really is easy and doesn’t cost you a penny more.
Stamptastic is a new fast way of naming all your belongings! A personalised stamp usable on fabric, metal, wood & some plastics. No more sewing or ironing on labels. If you purchase anything from http://www.stamptastic.co.uk/ enter the unique school code CB227PX . The PTFA have registered with Stamptastic and will receive cash back on all orders received.
A massive thank you to everyone who supported the May Fayre.
To everyone who came, who helped, who baked, who donated, who performed - thank you. You all helped to make it a fantastic afternoon. Although the sun did not shine on us this year, we had a great turnout and the May Fayre raised an incredible £2,549.91.
A fantastic achievement by all involved. THANK YOU!
The PTFA Band Night was a fun and successful event, including the amazing Toy Machine, Jamie Segrave and Provenance Kitchen. Big thanks to Bury Lane Farm Shop, Pinksters and Briggs & Mortimer too – without their generous sponsorship we would not have been able to run the Gin Bar, which proved to be a very popular addition to the night! It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the music, food and atmosphere.
